This bread is sweet enough for dessert but also makes a great breakfast. With bananas, cocoa, and walnuts, it is satisfying and delicious.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and butter a loaf pan.
  2. In the bowl of a food processor, mash bananas well with the paddle attachment.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and sugar. Mix well.
  4. Into the banana mixture, whisk in the cocoa, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix on low to combine. Do not over-mix.
  6. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and tap it on the counter to release any air bubbles.
  8. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
  9. Let cool completely on a cooling rack.

Notes

If serving for dessert, try this bread warm with vanilla ice cream.
