Instructions
To make the Pizza Dough
- Put warm water, honey, and yeast in the bowl of your stand mixer and stir. Let stand for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to yeast. Use a dough hook attachment to knead for 5-7 minutes on medium until a soft dough is formed.
- Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover. Let rest in a warm, draft-free place for one hour.
For the Taco Sticks
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Place parchment paper on a large baking sheet and set aside.
- To cook ground beef, heat a skillet on the stove. Add the ground beef and use a wooden spoon to break it up as it cooks. Once the beef is fully browned and crumbled, drain any excess fat from the skillet and return it to the cooktop. Next, add the taco seasoning to the skillet and stir until the beef is fully coated. Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the meat to cool to room temperature.
- Roll out the pizza dough to form a 12" x 10" rectangle. Then, using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 10 equal-sized rectangles. Next, take each rectangle and place about a tablespoon of taco meat in the center of it. Top the meat with a cheese stick and carefully roll up the filling, making sure to seal the seams and the ends.
- Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the tops of the taco sticks. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with your preferred taco toppings.
