These Orange Chai Scones are tender cream scones with fresh orange and chai spice flavors and are topped with a sweet homemade orange glaze making them a perfect breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk egg, sour cream, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, chai spice, and orange zest in a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle. Cut in cold butter with a pastry cutter or mixer paddle. Mix the dough until the butter is about the size of peas and the dough resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the egg mixture to the large bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a one-inch thick circle. Cut into 8 triangles. Place scones on the parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing evenly apart.
- Brush the tops of each scone with a little heavy cream. Bake for 15-16 minutes or until scones are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
- While the scones are cooling, In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, vanilla extract, orange juice, and powdered sugar (adding 1/2 cup at a time until desired consistency). Pour the glaze over the scones and let set for 10 minutes.
