- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Carefully roll out the pie crust, then place in a pie plate. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl combine all the filling ingredients together. Mix thoroughly. Spoon the mixture into the pie crust.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove and set aside while you make the topping.
- To prepare the topping, take a medium-sized bowl and mix all the topping ingredients. Once the cherry pie filling is ready, pour the topping mixture over it and spread it evenly. Place a pie crust shield or aluminum foil over the edges to prevent over-browning. Put the pie back in the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the top is lightly browned.
