Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine whole wheat flour, peanut butter, and banana in a large mixing bowl. (I use my stand mixer with the paddle attachment).
  3. Add stock and mix until well combined. Once combined, use your hands to press the dough into a ball.
  4. Place dough ball on a flat surface (sprinkled with additional flour) and roll out evenly with a rolling pin. The dough should be about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle the top with flaxseed and press lightly.
  5. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shape ( I used a medium-sized bone-shape cutter). Place treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  1. When choosing peanut butter, read labels carefully and do not use low calorie or low sugar that may contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs. I used Jif Creamy Peanut Butter.
  2. When choosing stock, read labels carefully and do not use any that contain onion or added salt which are harmful to dogs.

About

Welcome in. On this site we will be exploring the world of Magick..that’s right, there is a K in there even though everyone will be telling me it is spelled wrong. I meant to add that K..You see, magic without the K has a different meaning.
