Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and chicken broth.
  2. Whisk in the minced ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  3. Set aside one cup of this marinade, cover it, and keep it in the fridge to use for basting the chicken while it cooks.
  4. Place the remaining marinade into a large zip-lock bag with the chicken and move the chicken around until it is completely covered by the marinade. Place in the refrigerator overnight.
  5. Light and lightly oil your grill. Remove the chicken pieces from the marinade and discard the bag with the marinade.
  6. To prepare the chicken, place the pieces on the grill and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side. Brush some of the marinade that was set aside on top and then flip the pieces over to cook for another 4-5 minutes. Be sure to baste the chicken again during this step. Repeat the process until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165-170 degrees.
