Pepperoni Bread
I serve this bread as an appetizer at most of my parties, and it always gets rave reviews, with many guests asking for the recipe. You can serve it with a side of tomato sauce, or as a side dish with pasta.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Add honey and yeast to warm water in a large bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes so the yeast can activate.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir to combine. Knead dough either by hand or with the dough hook on the mixer until a soft uniform dough is formed. (About 10 minutes).
- Place dough in a floured bowl, cover, and let rest for 1-2 hours or until double in size.
- Place dough onto a floured surface and roll into a 10" x 10" rectangle (give or take).
- Cover the surface of the dough with half of the pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with all of the shredded mozzarella, then cover with the rest of the pepperoni.
- Roll the dough into a tight loaf, tucking in any pepperoni or cheese that tries to escape. Place the loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover with a dish towel. Let the loaf rest while your oven preheats to 450 degrees F.
- Brush the loaf with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting into slices.
