Pepperoni Bread

Pepperoni Bread

I serve this bread as an appetizer at most of my parties, and it always gets rave reviews, with many guests asking for the recipe. You can serve it with a side of tomato sauce, or as a side dish with pasta.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add honey and yeast to warm water in a large bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes so the yeast can activate.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir to combine. Knead dough either by hand or with the dough hook on the mixer until a soft uniform dough is formed. (About 10 minutes).
  3. Place dough in a floured bowl, cover, and let rest for 1-2 hours or until double in size.
  4. Place dough onto a floured surface and roll into a 10" x 10" rectangle (give or take).
  5. Cover the surface of the dough with half of the pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with all of the shredded mozzarella, then cover with the rest of the pepperoni.
  6. Roll the dough into a tight loaf, tucking in any pepperoni or cheese that tries to escape. Place the loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover with a dish towel. Let the loaf rest while your oven preheats to 450 degrees F.
  7. Brush the loaf with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting into slices.

About

Welcome in. On this site we will be exploring the world of Magick..that’s right, there is a K in there even though everyone will be telling me it is spelled wrong. I meant to add that K..You see, magic without the K has a different meaning.
