It's so quick and easy to make your own homemade chocolate pudding. It's just as easy as mixing together the boxed kind. With just a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, you can have this perfect chocolate pudding ready in twenty minutes.

Instructions

In a saucepan, stir together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt.
Place over medium heat and stir in milk.
Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon.
Remove from heat, and stir in butter and vanilla.
Let cool briefly, and serve warm or chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Notes

To make homemade whipped cream, in stand mixer, whisk together 1 cup heavy whipping cream and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. (Do not overmix or you will have butter.)
