These Amaretto Chocolate Chip Cookies take the average chocolate chip cookie to a whole new level of deliciousness. I absolutely adore experimenting in the kitchen, especially with using liquors to enhance the flavors of everyday food. Amaretto, an Italian liqueur, has a sweet and nutty flavor with a pronounced almond taste that perfectly complements the dark chocolate chips in this recipe. Amaretto also has notes of caramel, roasted almonds, and cherries that add a delightful balance of flavors to these cookies.
Let me tell you, there is just something so comforting about biting into a warm, freshly baked Amaretto Chocolate Chip Cookie. The flavors melt in your mouth and the aroma is truly irresistible. These cookies are a must-try for anyone who loves a classic chocolate chip cookie with a unique twist.

- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer, beat the butter and sugars at medium speed until they become creamy. Then, add the eggs, amaretto, and almond extract and beat them together. Reduce the speed to low and add the flour mixture, beating until combined. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips, coconut and almonds.
- Drop dough by 1 1/2 tablespoon-sized scoops, 2 inches apart, on parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake cookies for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden around the edges. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
- Repeat with the remaining dough. Store cookies in a tightly covered container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
