  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large saute pan, heat onions and celery over medium heat until softened. Add sausage, breaking up as it browns.
  3. Once the sausage is cooked through, season with salt, pepper, sage, and parsley.
  4. Stir in diced apples, cranberries, stuffing mix, and chicken broth.
  5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to the prepared 9 x 13-inch baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes covered, then for another 20 uncovered until stuffing is lightly toasted.

Notes

The stuffing can be prepared the day before and kept in the refrigerator overnight before baking.
