There is something very special about making homemade ice cream that makes it worth the effort. This recipe starts off with making a chocolate ganach and then mixing it into the chocolate ice cream base for a delectable chocolate experience.

  1. Bring the cream to a simmer in a small saucepan.
  2. Place the chocolate chips in a heat-proof bowl. Pour the cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, stir it until smooth and set aside.
  3. In the bowl of your stand mixer, beat the sugar, egg yolks and and cacao until smooth.
  4. In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a simmer. With the mixer still mixing on low, slowly pour the milk over the sugar/egg/cacao mixture. Mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the whole thing back into the saucepan and cook over low heat. Heat while stirring until mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
  6. Pour into the ganache and stir.
  7. Place mixture in the refrigerator overnight, then run through your ice cream maker according to the directions. Mine took 25 minutes.
  8. Pour into a container and freeze 2 hours before serving.

Welcome in. On this site we will be exploring the world of Magick..that’s right, there is a K in there even though everyone will be telling me it is spelled wrong. I meant to add that K..You see, magic without the K has a different meaning.
